JERRY SHELTON - William Jerry Shelton, Jr., age 61, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 7, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. A visitation will be Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Shelton was born September 3, 1962, in Columbus, MS, to William Jerry "Sonny" Shelton of Columbus, MS, and the late Virginia Wood West. Mr. Shelton attended Lee High School and worked as an electrician. He was an avid Alabama fan. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Wayne Shelton.
In addition to his father, survivors include his son, Matthew Shelton of Richland, MS, daughter, Cara Marie Shelton of Richland, MS, and sister, Susan Shelton Foster of Columbus, MS.
