Wanda Thresia “Tee” Simpson age 68, died Monday, May 01, 2023, peacefully, surrounded by family, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Saturday, May 06, 2023, at 2:30 PM at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Jenkins and Rev. Bo Bankston officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Church.

Mrs. Simpson was born on Friday, February 25, 1955, in Columbus to the late Henry E. and Fannie Acker Harris. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading the Bible, fellowshipping with church family, and being involved with her grandchildren's activities. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.

Over the years, she worked in many healthcare roles, touching many lives of both her patients and her co-workers. Her last role was clinic nurse for Doctors Duckworth and Sumrall. They, the doctors, and her patients were also her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Fannie Harris.

She is survived by husband, Jamie Simpson, Columbus MS; daughters: Alison Harris (Jeff), Caledonia, MS, Nicole Ciaravino (Steve), Brandon, MS; Grandchildren: Hunter Harris and Hailey Harris, Caledonia, MS, Bennett Ciaravino and Addison Ciaravino, Brandon, MS; Sisters: Janie Berry (Travis), Columbus, MS, Kay Cole (Ron), Lagrange, GA, Gwen Mace (Drew), Oklahoma City, OK, Donna Pinion (Ivy), Huntsville, AL.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Jeff Harris, Hunter Harris, Steve Ciaravino, Bennett Ciaravino, William Cole, and Robert Shackleford.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ron Cole, Ivy Pinion, Travis Berry, Drew Mace, Billy Simpson, Jeff Boggs, Brad Durrett, Cody Mace, Ryan Willis, Tyler Simpson, Randy Simpson, Bruce Simpson, Dr. Doyle Sumrall, Dr. Michael Duckworth, Dr. Jillian Loden, Dr. John Phillips, Dale Parra, Steve Landrum, Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle CCU nurses, critical care physicians and Respiratory Therapy staff, UAB transplant team, and members of Woodland Baptist Church.
