Sarah Hunter Wells age 85 died Thursday September 12, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Friday September 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Cuthbertson officiating; burial will follow Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Mississippi State Veterans Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wells was born on January 4, 1939 in Hickory Flat, MS to the late Earl Hunter and Rubie Street Hunter. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Columbus and a retired accounting secretary. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Willard Thomas “Tom” Wells, Sr. Survivors include her son, Willard Thomas “Chip” Wells, Jr. and his wife Neicole, grandchildren, Tyler Wells and Ferrah Wells.
