Roy Knight

ROY KNIGHT - Roy Brown Knight, Jr., age 71, of Columbus, MS, passed away August 21, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.  Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.

     Mr. Knight was born November 13, 1954, in Columbus, MS, to the late Roy Brown Knight Sr. and Mary Frances Knight Reynolds.  He grew up in Caledonia and played high school basketball and was an avid Alabama football fan.  He loved spending days and afternoons in the race shop with his son and grandsons preparing for race weekends.

     Survivors include his son, Shay Knight and his wife Kristy of Columbus, MS, sister, Malinda Clay and her husband Stuart "Catfish" of Columbus, MS, grandsons, Jace Knight and Braxton Knight, and nephews, Wesley Clay and Brantley Clay.
