Robert Finch, Sr.

ROBERT FINCH - Robert Lee Finch, Sr., age 91, of Columbus, MS, passed away June 29, 2024, at his residence.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Finch was born January 9, 1933, in Macon, MS, to the late George and Vera Mae Slawson Finch.  He retired from the Mississippi Department of Transportation.  Mr. Finch enjoyed going to The Junction and loved to hunt and fish.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Duncan Finch.
Survivors include his son, Robert Lee "Bobby" Finch, Jr. of Columbus, MS, daughters, Amy Finch Ward and her husband Mike of Louisville, MS, and Kristy Stripling of Columbus, MS, brother, Al Finch of Caledonia, MS, sisters, Frances Adams of Columbus, MS, and Cherry Neely of Oblong, IL, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
