ROBBIE C. WILSON

Robbie Cook Wilson age 89 died Saturday July 25, 2026 at his residence in Columbus. Services will be held Wednesday July 29, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Moore officiating; burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Wilson was born on December 16, 1936 in Eupora, MS to the late Troy and Jettie Wilson. He was a member and deacon at Friendship Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired employee of Hooker Chemical. Mr. Wilson loved his family, his pets, piddling in his shop, yard work, gardening and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Robin Wilson, his sisters, Jessie Mae, and Helen, and by his brother, Talmadge.

Survivors include his wife, Janina Rye Wilson, daughter, Susie Simpson and her husband Keith, grandson, Rick Leverette II, brother, James Wilson his wife Nina and their son Michael and a niece and several nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be, Rick Leverette, II, Brian Lindsay, Jon Lindsay, David Montgomery, Michael Wilson, and Ellis Lachney
