Patricia Barton

PATRICIA BARTON - Patricia Ann Ferguson Barton, age 78, of Ethelsville, AL, passed away August 19, 2026, at her residence.  Graveside services will be Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Steve Lammons officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.

     Mrs. Barton was born March 4, 1948, in Columbus, MS, to the late Charlie Dean and Ruby Hazel Shepherd Ferguson.  She was a graduate of New Hope High School and worked for Bellsouth and United Technologies for many years.  Mrs. Barton was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  She loved spending time with her children and loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Barton, brothers, James Ferguson, Larry Ferguson, Ricky Ferguson, Cameron Ferguson, and Phillip Ferguson, and sister, Kay Anderson.

     Survivors include her children, Roxane Barton of Ethelsville, AL, Kim Jaynes and her husband Alan of Ethelsville, AL, Richard Barton and his wife Amanda of Columbus, MS, and Charles "Pip" Barton and his wife Misty of Columbus, MS, sister, Vickie Jo Benoist of Starkville, MS, grandchildren, Haley Reed and her husband Robert, Abbie Barton, Dylan Barton, Zoe Barton, Brody Barton, Harrison Barton, and Bentley Barton, and great grandchildren, Kate Barton, Amelia Reed, and Jace Reed.

     Pallbearers will be Richard Barton, Charles "Pip" Barton, Chuck Anderson, Ed Friedhaber, Mark Stokes, and Brody Barton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Jaynes, Dillon Barton, and Robert Reed.
