NANCY FORD - Mrs. Nancy Brown Ford passed on April 6, 2026, at her residence. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 2:30 PM at First Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Vaughn Stafford officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at First Methodist Church. Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. She was born May 29, 1936, in Columbus, MS, to Hawley Knox Brown and Floyd William Brown. Nancy graduated from Lee High School in Columbus. She attended Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

Nancy married Robert Eugene Ford, Sr., and was a housewife and mother to four children. She owned Nancy's Stitchery where she excelled in all areas of handwork. A life member of First Methodist Church, she taught Sunday School for several years and was a member of the Bell Choir. An active parent, she was involved in several committees and organizations at Heritage Academy. Mrs. Ford was a Life Member of Columbus Junior Auxiliary, where she served as Ball Chairman. She was a Life Member of Milady Garden Club, and Columbus Garden Club.

Mrs. Ford was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, her parents, and her brother, Floyd William Brown, Jr., and her son, Robert E. Ford, Jr. (Cynthia). Survivors include her children, Nancy Ford Duke (Charles), Dr. Floyd Norman Ford (Celia), and John Douglas Ford (Mary Anna), all of Columbus, MS. She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Zachary Ford, Chase Ford, Danielle Davis (Brad), Madison Ford Harwell (Ty), Mary Dade Ford, and Dalton Ford (Julia), and great grandchildren, Hawley Ann Harwell, John Davis, and Clara Jo Davis.

Pallbearers will be Dalton Ford, Zach Ford, Toby Lott, Ed Lott, Duke Berry, Jeffrey Rhett, Russell Brown, Ty Harwell, Kenny Heredia, Tim Threadgill, and Tommy Howard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jim Stone, Dr. John Stanback, Wayne Blankenship, James Allen, Billy Phillips, and Kirk Rushing.

Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church, P.O. Box 32, Columbus, MS, 39703.
