Linda Lou Beard

Linda Lou Traywick Beard, age 74, of Steens, MS, passed away April 30, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Junior Eads officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory directing.

Mrs. Beard was born April 6, 1951, in Lowndes County, MS, to the late Eugene and Robbie Smith Traywick. She and her late husband, Donald H. Beard, owned and operated Beard's Produce for many years. Mrs. Beard was a member of Eastview Church and volunteered as a Pink Lady at Baptist Memorial Hospital and enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frankie Traywick and James Traywick.

Survivors include her son, Wade Beard and his wife Tabitha of Water Valley, MS, daughter, Carmen James and her husband David of Columbus, MS, brothers, George Traywick of Vernon, AL, Bobby Traywick of Columbus, MS, and Eddie Traywick and his wife Shelly of Odessa, TX, grandchildren, Jessica Williams and her husband Hunter, Justin James and his wife Angelica, Megan Stovall and her husband Payton, Brett Beard, Brittni Beard, and Hunter Beard, great grandchildren, Blair Stovall and Paxton Stovall, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David James, Justin James, Hunter Williams, Payton Stovall, Brett Beard, and Hunter Beard. 
Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews and great nephews.
