Gail Delores McCrary

Gail Delores Junkin McCrary, age 90 of Columbus, MS, passed away March 10, 2026. A visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10 until 12 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. McCrary was born November 19, 1935, in Kennedy, Alabama to the late James Ferman Junkin and Kitty Rose Mitchell Junkin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Johnny Maxwell McCrary, Sr.

She retired from United Technologies with 40 years of service. She was a member of the first class to graduate from Leigh High School, a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and Terra Firma Garden Club. She loved her family and her god children, her church family and her Trinity family.

Survivors include son Johnny (Kathy) McCrary Jr of Petal, MS, daughter Ginger(Chip) Smith of Columbus, MS, God children Tim and Teri Younger, Grandchildren William McCrary, Johnny McCrary III, Freda Kirkland, Bree and Ty Younger.
