Faye passed away at Mercy Care Center Swansea, Illinois, September 16, 2021. She was born to Morgan Hobson Hannah and Mamie Mason Hannah on September 22, 1935, in Lowndes County, Mississippi.
She is survived by one daughter, Camilla Faye Wright of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; three stepdaughters, Peggy Jean Wright Young of Warren, Ohio, Suzette Wright Durdahl of Maple Grove, Minnesota, and Cynthia Kay Wright Bishop of Columbus, Mississippi; and one sister, Barbara Hannah Van Neste of Millington, Tennessee.
Along with her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Wright and three brothers:  Morgan Harold Hannah, Tom Allen Hannah, and Windford Ray Hannah.
After graduating from Mississippi State College for Women, she taught elementary school classes  for many years in Amory, MIssissippi, Pueblo, Colorado and Columbus, Mississippi . She will always be remembered by her loving students as well as years of community service through her association with the Columbus Library, Pilot Club, Stokes Beard School, and other local charitable organizations.
Services will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Gunter Peel  716 2nd Ave N, Columbus, Mississippi with visitation from 12:00 until 1:00 and service following.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Friends of Columbus Library or Mississippi University for Women would be greatly appreciated.
