DORIS PAULINE SOWELL
Doris Sowell, 94, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at her residence in Columbus. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory, College Street location is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sowell was born on October 20, 1924 to the late Robert Mills and Della Ferguson Mills. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lindley Sowell, four brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her sons, Lloyd Hurt of Columbus, MS and Johnny Boone of Louisville, MS; daughter, Ginger Hurt of Puyallup, WA; five grand children; and ten great-grandchildren
