DONNIE PARKER
Donnie Ray Parker, age 48, of Hamilton, MS, passed away September 21, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Graveside services will be Sunday, September 27, 2020, at 2:30 PM at Love Joy Church Cemetery near Hamilton, AL, with Bro. Scott Todd officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2020, from noon until 1:30 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Funeral Home & Crematory 903 College St. location.
Donnie was born January 16, 1972, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Ray Parker of Columbus, MS, and the late Linda Bowen Lollar. Donnie was an avid musician and especially loved playing guitar and writing songs. He was a member of the bands 9 Lives Gone and Crash Seven. He had a charismatic personality that you could not help but love and he was loved by many. He was a graduate of Amory High School and Itawamba Junior College. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Big Soldier of Columbus, MS, maternal grandparents, Willie Frank and Lovena Bowen, grandmother Lucille Chambers, paternal grandparents, Don and Laverne Casson, and grandfather, Roy Parker.
In addition to his father, survivors include his son, Triston Parker of Guin, AL, daughter, Emma Parker of Guin, AL, former spouse, Tabitha (John) Saxton of Guin, AL, stepdad, Fredrick Lynch of Tremont, MS, sister, Alisha (Joey) Lann of Vernon, AL, brother, Freddy (Amanda) Lynch of Tremont, MS, brother, Chad Parker, nieces Kaili Lynch (Jeremy) and Laura Beth Lann, nephews, Alec Big Soldier (Heather), Nathan Brown, Gentry Lynch, Jonah Lynch, Cooper Lann, and Coen Meisenholder, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Triston Parker, Scott Todd, John “Oz” Osborne, Lloyd McWilliams, Tony Harris, and Jeff Sanders.
