Danny Smith

Danny Bruce Smith, age 75, of West Point, MS, passed away May 31, 2025, at his residence. A memorial service will be Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church, 9359 Old Hwy 50 East, West Point, MS, 39773, with Pastor Jim Sallee officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at Riverside Chapel Baptist Church. Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith was born November 17, 1949, in Columbus, MS, to the late Arlo Dillard and Sarah Elizabeth Reed Smith. He was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School and served in the United States Navy. Mr. Smith was a member of the Riverside Chapel Baptist Church and retired from AT&T after 43 years. He enjoyed boating and watching his grandchildren's activities.

Survivors include his wife, Evie Lucas Smith of West Point, MS, daughter, Lindsey Parker Robertson and her husband Taylor of Meridian, MS, son, Floyd Welch Parker, III, of Jackson, MS, brother, Phil Reed Smith of West Point, MS, grandchildren, William Walker Robertson, Parker Ann Robertson, and Sawyer Thomas Robertson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Robertson, Perry Lucas, Jim Landis, Jim Crenshaw, Jon Smith, Clint Weeks, Mickey Bray, Keith McGee, Ronald Smith, Parr Colvin, Dayle Reed, Michael Neese, and Brent Ayers.
