Charles Bridges

CHARLES BRIDGES - Charles Marshall Bridges, age 88, of McComb, MS, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away September 3, 2026, at The Claiborne at McComb.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church with Father Jeffrey Waldrep officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS, with military honors.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the atrium of Annunciation Catholic Church.  Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. 

     Mr. Bridges was born April 16, 1938, in River Junction, FL, to the late Pearly Malone and Mae Lou Scott Bridges.  He was a veteran of Vietnam serving two tours in the United States Air Force, starting out as a jet mechanic.  Mr. Bridges retired after 20 years from the United States Air Force then worked at Columbus Air Force Base as a defense contract employee and supervisor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye Ann Bridges, and sisters, Bonnie "Bee" Hill and Lou Ellen Conner.

     Survivors include his daughter, Carrie A. Jourdan of Madison, MS, sons, Charles "Chuck" Marshall Bridges, Jr. of Tempe, AZ, and Paul Anthony Bridges of Kentwood, LA, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

     Pallbearers will be Chuck Bridges, Jr., Paul Bridges, Shane Bridges, Wade Bridges, Warren Conner, and Larry Shelton.
