Wauford “Burdette” Honnoll went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 02, 2026. Visitation is Saturday, March 07, 2026, from 9:30am – 11:00am at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00am at Memorial Funeral Home with Brother John Powell and Brother Dennis Pinion officiating. A graveside service will follow at Egger Cemetery.

Mr. Honnoll was born in Caledonia, MS to the late Elzie C. Honnoll and Elizabeth Madge Williams Honnoll. He attended Caledonia High School. Burdette married the love of his life, Barbara Grace Atkins, on October 11, 1953. They enjoyed 59 ½ blessed years before her passing in 2013.

Burdette was a charter member of St. Paul Independent Methodist Church and served not only as a Sunday School teacher and Chairman of the Stewards, but also as an interim pastor. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He was employed at Dowdle Gas Company from 1968-2004 and was Vice-President of the company when he retired.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and confidant. Burdette was greatly loved and admired by his family, friends, and people who considered him family. He loved spending time with family from date nights with granddaughters to hunting with sons and grandsons. He loved history and enjoyed family vacations to historical locations all over the United States including Deadwood, SD, Tombstone, AZ, Mt. Rushmore, Alcatraz, the Great Smoky Mountains, Branson, MO, and Jamestown, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Barbara), his sisters (Ferrell Stapp and Myra Walker), and his daughter-in-love (Robbie Honnoll). Survivors include daughter, LaDean (Zach) Suber of Caledonia, MS; son, Dannie Honnoll of Steens, MS; daughter Kim (Lynn) McDaniel of Columbus, MS; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons Jason Blackston, Jeremiah Blackston, Talbert Honnoll, Aubrey McDaniel, Andrew McDaniel, Scott Suber, Lee Whitlow, and Ryan Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of St. Paul Independent Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Gideons International or St. Paul Independent Methodist Church at 2181 Freeman Rd, Caledonia, MS 39740.
