Betty Lou Furr Walker, age 72, died September 25, 2024, at Baptist North Mississippi in Oxford. Services will be held, September 29, at 3 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus, MS, with Tracy Arnold officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
Betty was born on May 6, 1952, in Magnolia, MS to the late Henry Sexton Furr and Francis Rebecca Griffin Furr. She was a member of First Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Bob “Jack” Scott, sister, Marie Scott Morlino, and her son Michael Page Womble.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Wade Walker of Coffeeville, MS, her children: Sammy Womble (Angie) of Booneville, MS, Leigh Anne Azlin (Mark) of Mantee, MS, Kellie Simpson (Lee) of Greenville, MS, and Rob Walker (Deonna) of Texas. Sisters: Olene Britt Sabbatini, and Joyce Ann Britt Burt. Grandchildren: Samantha Parker, Brett Womble, Tyler Womble, Ali Azlin, Abby Azlin, Judd Azlin, Brayden Womble, Anna Lauren Womble, Walker Simpon, Lucas Simpson, Givan Walker, Daxter Molina, and Evelina Walker. Great-grandchildren: Analyse Womble, Adleigh Parker, Huston Parker, Scarlett Parker, Izzy Womble, and Blayne Womble. Serving as pallbearers will be, Brett Womble, Tyler Womble, Judd Azlin, Brayden Womble, Walker Simpson, Huston Parker, Heath Manning, and Brad Pridmore, honorary pallbearer, Rob Walker.
