In Loving Memory
Austin Hoy Reid, born April 10, 1944, passed away peacefully February 22, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital surrounded by his daughters.
Born in Louisiana he was the son of Wallace Reid and Evelyn Carpenter. He served as a United States Marine, drove semi-truck, and later in life retired from Wal-Mart as a dedicated employee. He was united in marriage to Marlene Foor in 1971 and they had 2 children Kelly and Danielle. Later he united in marriage to Linda Butler.
Austin loved his daughters, grandkids, and great grandkids deeply. He always knew how to make everyone laugh and light up a room with his gold-toothed smile. He was a ladies man, enjoyed guns, and loved playing with his dogs.
He is survived by his wife Linda Reid, daughters Kelly Smart (Shayne) of Montana, Danielle Burmeister (Kenny) of Iowa, Grandchildren Amber, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Dusty, Kinsey, Ayden, Garrett, and Kyler, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents and sisters Jody and Kay.
