Mrs. Wallace was born on January 27, 1921 in Pickens County Alabama to the late George Earnest and Eura Mae Stokes Ashcraft. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a former Sunday School teacher and spent much time studying Biblical principals. She was a homemaker, a private duty sitter, and formally worked at the Reach Out Shelter of Abused Children. Funeral services will be Friday March 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stacey Blake officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 6 until 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include Daughters: Gloria Jean Bailey (Ben) of Philadelphia MS, Violet Butler (Butch) of Columbus MS, Sons: Johnny Wallace of Steens MS, Randy Wallace (Kathy) of Columbus MS, Grandchildren: Lisa Smith, Kevin Bailey, Chris Butler, Amanda Butler, Jamie Wallace, Nicole Gosia, Randy Wallace Jr., and Michelle Avent, Sisters: Jeanette Bobbitt of Tuscaloosa AL, Sarah Laprade of Jackson MS, Irma Weathers of Columbus MS, and Brother: Lenwood Ashcraft of Columbus MS. Pallbearers will be Kevin Bailey, Chris Butler, Randy Wallace Jr., Jamie Wallace, Kevin Smith, and Russell Smith. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dallas Avent.
