Maxine Elaine Floyd, age 94, of Columbus, MS, passed away August 10, 2013 at Clay County Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at 1:30 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Floyd was born October 19, 1918, in Galva, TX to the late Bert and Lavina Lind. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Floyd. Survivors include her daughter, Melinda Vandiver of Columbus, MS, son-in-law, David Vandiver, and grandson, Brett Vandiver.
