Steens, Ms--Mrs. Gladys Porter was born on August 20, 1934 in Pickens County Alabama to the late: Gilbert J. and Anna Mitchell Baines. She was retired from Columbus Marble Works and a member of East End Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Jo Porter; one brother, James Baines; and her husband, D.J. Porter. Funeral services will be Sunday March 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery from graveside with the Rev. Eugene Junkins officiating. Visitation will be Saturday March 25, 2006 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include one daughter: Tammy Holloway of Steens, Ms, Sisters: Virginia Sheperd (Jay) of Steens, Ms, Brenda Hunter (Ross) of Dothan, Al, and Linda Baines of Steens, Ms. Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
