ELIZABETH YOUNGBLOOD Elizabeth T. Youngblood died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on August 24, 2015. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27th at First United Methodist Church, Columbus, with Rev. Tony Proctor, Rev. Raigan Miskelly, and Rev. Ann Russell-Bradley officiating, burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30 until service time at the church. Mrs. Youngblood was born in Memphis and moved to Bruce, Mississippi as a child. Her parents were Walton Avery and Annie Laurie Tucker. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles S. Youngblood, daughter, Judith Ann Youngblood Manning, grandson Charlie R. Hudson, and great-granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Herring. She was a member of Central Methodist Church for many years and later a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a retired Registered Nurse and worked many years at Columbus Hospital. She was a true artisan and enjoyed creating pottery, porcelain dolls and to-scale doll houses. She loved gardening and cooking monthly with her herb group for over 40 years. She was an avid Alabama football fan except when they played Mississippi State!!!
