GERALD JONES

William Gerald “Jonesie” Jones, age 71 died Monday, September 05, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital , Columbus . A Mass of Resurrection will be held Thursday, September 08, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Annunciation Catholic Church with Father Robert Dore officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.

Jonesie was born on Friday, November 03, 1944 in Memphis , TN to the late J.W. and Glady McAlpin Jones. He was a communicant of Annunciation Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of American Legion Post 69. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Barry Jones, and his sister Teresa Jones.
