Dottie Gerhart

Dorothy Jean "Dottie" Gerhart age 80, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at her residence in Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at    11:00 AM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gerhart was born on Sunday, February 14, 1937 in Columbus to the late Roy  and Jessie Miller Nicholson. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church (now Covenant United Methodist Church). She was a retired transportation supervisor for the Aldine, TX independent school district and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Lynn Roy Gerhart.

Survivors include her  husband Jim Gerhart, Columbus, MS; her daughter Linda Jean Gerhart , Dallas, TX and her grandchildren Brandon James Gerhart and Jessie Hannah Gerhart.
